I am running on -current (cvsuped recently) and I have versions:
   /usr/lib/libreadline.a
   /usr/lib/libreadline.so
   /usr/lib/libreadline.so.3
   /usr/lib/libreadline_p.a

What versions to you have?

Checking the source in /usr/src/contrib/libreadline, I find the
references in complete.c and readline.h:
