Compiling with SGI MIPS
I'm looking forward to guile-1.3.2, as I hope to convince our local
sysadmin to install it for everyone in our lab to use. But there are
two compile errors I get under our SGI machines, that I hope can be
addressed before 1.3.2 comes out (which I hope is soon).
The first error comes at:
cc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I. -I.. -I./.. -g -Wp,-MD,.deps/alist.pp
-c -DPIC alist.c -o .libs/alist.lo
cfe: Error: extraneous input/output file name 0
cfe: Fatal: Cannot open the file .deps/alist.pp
make: *** [alist.lo] Error 1
To kludge this, I just remove the dependency line, but I don't know
why it's giving this error (?)..
The next error comes at:
cc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I. -I.. -I./.. -g -Wp,-MD -c -DPIC
hashtab.c -o .libs/hashtab.lo
cfe: Error: hashtab.c, line 532: storage size for 's_hash_fold' isn't
known static const char s_hash_fold;
To fix this, I remove line 532 and then move line 562 to line 532.
And after that everything compiles fine.
Thanks for any help,
