Exiting guile

When I am working with guile interactively, (quit) or
(exit) quits gracefully. But when it passed as an argument,
guile does not exit. 'ps' indicates it is using up cpu
time.

Repeat by: guile -e '(exit)'

I am wondering if something was built wrong, or if
someone else has this problem too.
