I find that although I am probably only very rarely more than 20 miles
from ftp.hawaii.edu as the bird flies, I am often 4000 miles as the packets
fly (because the various backbone providers don't connect to each other
within Hawaii), and UH doesn't have enough bandwidth, so prep.ai.mit.edu
is generally always faster.

So as far as I am concerned, geographically sorting mirrors is a bad joke.
