You can use 'darcs tag --checkpoint "rfc2109 x.xx"' when releasing and
distribute a partial tree: 'darcs get --partial --tag "rfc2109 x.xx"'.
I haven't tried this myself so the commands might not be correct, you
should check darcs' manual.
