I agree.  Nice site!

One thing you may want to think about is metric gathering.  It would be
interesting to see some plots on how stories are modded up and down in their
lifetime.  Or overall how many stories are modded up or down for the day,
week, month, year.

Also, since you have categories/tags it would be interesting to have
something like google's zeitgeist that shows trends and which tags are
rising and falling for the year.

As far as reddit goes, I think it was taking off so well because of the
simple interface.  I don't think most people going to reddit.com are
*thinking* about reddit.com.  Their thinking about the stories that are
linked from there and how quickly they can find something interesting.
Keeping the front page full of interesting and *new* links and staying out
of the users way might be the key.  May be something to think about as the
requests come in.
