Comment:

 I may be a bit harsh here, but this repository access technique feels a
 bit obtuse to me.  I've never heard of any user ever using this, and it's
 not even really specific to subversion -- it's a general network
 technique.  My feeling is that chapter 6 is already full of lots of
 complex options, and including this just clutters the field needlessly --
 "TMI".  So I'm making an executive editorial call here, and saying "not
 appropriate for this book".  Not that the patch and suggestion isn't
 appreciated, of course!
