Andre Pluess & Ben Sussman

Andre Pluess and Ben Sussman met in 1993 as undergraduates at the University of Chicago. They collaborated on music for various U of C projects and, upon graduation, continued to work in theatre with various Chicago companies. Over the past 10 years, they've worked on over 150 productions, and with many different directors and theatre companies across the country.

Andre and Ben have developed strong affiliations with several Chicago theatre companies. They are resident sound designers for Victory Gardens Theater, associate artists at About Face Theatre, and 1999-2002 Court Theatre resident artists. Additionally, Andre is an artistic associate of Lookingglass Theatre and served for three years as a member of Blue Man Group Chicago audio staff.

In addition to their work in Chicago, Andre and Ben have seen their work move outside the city they call home. Their original music and sound designs for Mary Zimmerman's Metamorphoses and Doug Wright's I Am My Own Wife have enjoyed successful runs on Broadway.
