Explain basics about revision storage

Hi,

Great book! I did not have many questions that was not answered. Though 
there was one thing that troubled me after reading the first 
chapter. ‘Does Subversion store the entire tree for each revision; or 
does it have a smart way of storing only the changes so it does not take 
up all my storage space?’

I think this question needs an answer around the grey box on page 12.
